Is my reel broken?

I'm not sure what I've done to it, but the clicker had gone on my reel.
Is this a major problem? All I have ever done is swap the spool for the spare.

Re: Is my reel broken?

you may have knocked the pawl out of position, take spool off, you should see a triangular plastic part, move that till it points to th hub of the drum, that should sort it.

Re: Is my reel broken?

Ahhh.... I can hear it again, peace at last - kind of.
Thanks a lot lads.
Next problem.
I reel in with my left hand, which I thought was normal,
So I've got the line coming from the bottom. So even though I think this is normal, I seem to be reeling against the drag.
I've tried reeling on the other way, but i prefer to reel forward instead of backward - if that makes sense.
Any idea?

Re: Is my reel broken?

From what you say, your reel is set for a right hand wind, that`s why you`re reeling in against the drag. What reel reel do you have? If it`s one of the popular makes, your local tackle dealer might reverse it for you. Failing that, google the "How To" website and enter your reel make and model and how to change r/h to l/h wind, with any luck it will show you.

Re: Is my reel broken?

Had a look round on the internet, and all I had to do was reverse the position of the plastic parts which apply the drag

Re: Is my reel broken?

well done young man, some things are quite simple to remedy, others take a little more time to resolve, glad the info you found on the net will help to rectify your problem.
