| Early Season Flies Well the new season is coming up and since this will only be my second season i am not sure on which flies work well at the start, are there any specific flies i should tie or buy or will I just use the usual. Thanks :) ![]() |

| Re: Early Season Flies Fish are normally lying deep at this time of year Connor, so you have to get your flies down to where they are. Small flies, nymphs, bloodworm, shrimp and corixa pattern sizes 10-14 fished on a very Slow retrieve can be effective, this applies to fishing lures too, a slow retrieve.good luck bud. ![]() ![]() |

| Re: Early Season Flies Hi Connor, My favorite early season pattern are gold head black and green tadpoles, you will also need boobies,cats whiskers, and a couple of gold head damsels which take fish all year round along with a few fritz patterns. Pete mentioned afew but dont for get the black buzzer on a nice long leader. Flyman |
