| Pheasant tail nymph We all tie differently heres my way of tying the pheasant tail nymph, Set hook and take cotton down to bend of hook and tie in 5- 6 pheasant fibres as tail, you can had a bit of weight use copper wire or lead at the thorax the copper i used is a bit thick but it will give u the idear, ![]() ![]() Now tie in copper wire as rib and 4-5 pheasant fibres , ![]() ![]() Wrap the pheasant around hook in touching turns up tothe thorax and rib with copper wire, ![]() next tie in a good bunch of pheasant on top so it can be pulled over for thorax cover, try and judge the length as when u tie them of u can fold the tips back and give it more leggy effect. Now dub somefur and a couple of turns to make the thorax ![]() Pull thorax cover over and tye in at eye , ![]() Separate the tips to equal numbers and pull to sides of hook hold down and tie of. ![]() Not the best photos but hpe this helps a little. | Well tied Jeff, same steps for me, although sometimes I use Pearl Green Mylar for the thorax, instead of dubbing. Nice easy steps too for beginners, nice one.. ![]() |
