Favourite bait for tench?

Lob worm and sweet corn for me

Pellets , hemp , casters , corn , and some nice juicy worms best baits for me
and of course a nice bit of bread flake

Sweetcorn and cereal groundbait but with a twist!
Firstly, white bread and cornflakes mixed through a food processor.
Second, sweetcorn mixed with strawberry flavouring and red food dye.
Third, drain the sweetcorn and mix the juice in with the groundbait.
Fourth, add water to the sweetcorn to stop it drying out.
Fith, catch some fish!

I've had most of my Tench on a hook bait of half a worm and a medium sized piece of sweet corn, but in the past they've taken pretty much anything, sweetcorn on it's own is a safe bet, any medium sized pellets I can lay hands on are also very welcome when I go fishing with the aim of finding Tench.

The hard bit is keeping the small fish off the smaller bits, and keeping the monsters off the bigger stuff :P

ad a lot of tench on halibut pellet/ halibut dip (not targeted)...works brill..6lb plus

if you use ground bait with half of worm with maybe a pellet that works great for tench and also other species

have had good tench on red maggots,over 2-3 tennis ball sized groundbait called secret.

For the big Tench on our estate lake its Active-8 Pellets ledgered just off one of the large lilly beds.

For the Tench on our local Gravel pit it's usually float fishing using Bread flake, Sweetcorn or small Redworms in 5-6ft water next to Overhanging bushes in out of the way places.

Absolute Heaven on an early summers morning (Im daydreaming already).
