Re: Favourite bait for tench?

hi guys,

i am a big fan of breadflake as hookbait fished over pellet and s/corn
this bait is not as much as it was and fish seem to be much more confident taking it than some other baits.
try it at the commercial lakes and i bet u will get instant bites!!

good luck

jambo

Re: Favourite bait for tench?

when i used to go tench fishing i used to use trout pellet made into a paste on one rod and the other i use cockles and these used to score really heavily.
and infact my first 100lb plus bag of tench came fishing cockles .
also i found that sweet flavoured 10mm boilies worked well my personal favourite were tutti fruiti and strawberry and again in right conditions these would score well but from reading all the post the options and far and wide which should give you plenty of scope on bait options but as we all know that location is the key to good bags off fish and if you can couple this with the right tactics on the day and get them feeding on your bait choice success will not be to far away .

tightlines

Re: Favourite bait for tench?

For me it's a big piece of breadflake. Or failing that a juicy lobworm.
