Favourite way too fish for tench?

What's your favourite way of fishing for tench?

Perhaps you like too sit behind some alarms, waiting for a screaming reel, or watching a float slowly drift away? I hear some people lure fish for them, and you can pick up a few decent fish that way..

For me, it's a float fished slightly over depth with a couple of grains of corn, fished near some lily pads. Can't beat it

Also, a maggot feeder, or light bomb with 5 or 6 maggots on the hook with a quivertip

i too like to sit with a float next to some lily pads but there doesn't seem to be much in the way of lillies in my lakes,with most waters available to me being more than 12 foot deep i almost always leger,

i must admit dan,i've never heard of lure fishing for tench.

Ooops, wrote that wrong. What I meant was, I've heard of a few people catching tench on lures (as well as carp)

Mine is lift float method

Nothing better than a summers evening watching your float cock flat on the surface and then glide away

i agree a light float rod, 5-6lb line light waggler size 16 hook summer eve what could be better?!

Peacock Quill lift float method.

As you Dan classic Mr Crabtree style next to some lilly pads with pin prick bubbles all around your float.

Nothing like a bit of "fizzy" Tench in your swim

i just like sitting behind one carp rod on a bite alarm with a method feeder and hair rigged tutti frutti boilie.
