mix up a paste of trout pellet,maggot,bread oil and spam in a mixer allways produces lots of fish for me when moulded on hook

Like the other guys have said, sweetcorn has always been a killer tench bait for me, try different flavourings or dye the corn red, i use food dye from the supermarket. Also, have always seemed to score with fruity flavourings too. Just loose feed several grains every cast, dont overdo it apart from at the beginning of the session when a couple of cups should be fed into your swim,usual swims, near lillies ir reeds, I find that presenting just off the bottom as opposed to nailing it there works for me.Floatfishing has got to be the most fun, but the swimfeeder approach will work too.
Theres always the chance of a bonus decent crucian carp too as they seem to inhabit similar swims. Hope this basic info helps, good luck.

I agree, totally, several pieces of sweetcorn do well for Tench

had 3 in the 6-8 lb range in a few hours by adding mashed up prawns to the grounbait then one on the hook,the carp and bream liked them too goodfun fishing light
