| Tench here i come I used to fish many years ago and i absolutely love Tench, miles better fish than Carp (sorry to the Carp guys) but each to their own. Ive just decided to take up fishing again and Tench are my first target,there are plenty ponds where i live that are rife with tench. Im using a a 7metre whip with 8s elastic which i know will be fine because i"ve caught em before on a similar set up many years ago. Eventually im gonna treat myself to a decent match rod but seeing as ive only just started again my trusty whip will be fine. The weather seems ok and im on my way in the next couple of days. If i catch anything then i will most certainly post pics on here. Wish me luck      |

| Re: Tench here i come Have to agree with you on Tench being the best coarse fish, there's nothing more impressive than a big Tench. Definitely the most beautiful of the coarse fish. Best of luck, I look forward to looking at your pictures. |

| Re: Tench here i come Everythings ready for tomorrow morning 4am so only a few hours sleep and i cant wait. Been for a walk over the lodge early on today and spoke to 3 anglers who confirmed that Tench is plentiful and they also gave me a few tips. I will report tomorrow.  |

| Re: Tench here i come Had a great day this morning,caught Tench,Crucians and Roach and the 7m whip i bought was spot on with no issues,even my hook tying skills served me well.lol. I forgot how much i missed using a rod and reel though so i think thats the next purchase for me. Cant wait to go again. |
