Info of tench

Today I caught my first ever tench and it was 4.5lb and I know that tench do not get very big can some one please let me know roughly how big they get to ps I caut it on 2 strawberry boilies thanks

A 4lb Tench is a very decent fish.

Tench of 5lb to 8lb are excellent and if you fish a water with Tench of this size you can count yourself as lucky.

Double figure Tench are found in quite a few gravel pits and large rich waters but they don't get caught as often as some would have you believe.
I fish such a water but although double figure Tench occasionally fall to a lucky angler it only happens on rare occasions (but alas not to me yet).

The current accepted record for the Tench is:
TENCH (Tinca tinca) 15lb 3oz caught in 2001 by D Ward

tight lines.
