Himley Hall is very good, more for big tench, but some big big carp, mirror, grass, but i would never give up on barbel .bashing.Big barbel and big chub, try the river teme, good luck

Oh I am not giving up on barbel or chub and I have to say that the Teme is such a beautiful river I will indeed be giving it a go. It's just that I have neglected my faviourite summer species and have never caught a crucian. So Himley sounds the deal.

If you after crucian, fish the gravel path by the lily pads, you get a net full, good luck.If you after tench fish opposite the boats, used to be no1 peg,luncheon meat about 20 meters.You after carp fish same side as boats in the trees.

Top info there mate thanks. I watched the Great Rod Race from Himley so spotted the lily pad swims for crucian but did not know about the tench. Cheers.
