| Re: new bait suceed again If you don't know the bait that perch_king used then its not the end of the world; its finding the right swim and getting there well before others have even thought of getting out of bed that can make the difference on some waters. Perch_king fished till 9 and that may have been the key. My mates and I used to fish a gravel pit regularly from 04:00am till 8.00am using breadflake and then go to work afterwards; and we had some superb Tench catches. the other anglers turning up as we packed up would sit there all day without catching much and didn't even know what they were missing (and we were not going to tell them). There was a brief evening feeding spell but it was nowhere near as good as the early morning feeding spell. NB.
