a bit cold

well i was going early morning fishing but never made it early as some other things came up but got a couple off hours in for the tench so as i do head over to the local i dont usually go over that local for tench but had a go anyway so i got there but some one was in my swim so i had a look around and there was only one swim left ha with 2 trolleys in it so then got the float rod setup with a light float on about 2bb then got my killer tench bait out so then i cast out to the reeds and sitting there for a 20 mins then the float kept moving left and right but not going down i guess they where picking up the loose feed and jsut hiting my line but then the float just went so then i strike into it but it came in easy and thought thats a bream but nope it was a tench :)

so then put him back and recast out to the same spot but then notice a pike came up and sat in the reeds where i was fishing i tried everything for him to go but would not move so i was watching my float more loose feed going in and a loads off bubbles going mad under my float so i thought im in for some more fish but then my float shot in the reeds and i strike and i was on again but then the pike darted towards my float and it went all heavy and yes when i got it up a pike had hold my tench but when it sore me it let go and i lost the tench great day i was having i was getting cold and said sod this im off but i got one tench better then a blank i always say so packed up and left so might hit it next time for a pike :)

Re: a bit cold

Well done PK, shame you didn't have any lures with you for the pike.
