For a start, sometimes they're not possible (if someone hasn't got the right kit), sometimes they won't show much anyway and they don't really prove a damn thing, as they can off course be doctored/substituted etc.

If people aren't happy with the honesty thing, then I say - don't take part. I mean, does anyone really want to win so badly that they'd even think about cheating? It's supposed to be fun, a laugh, a chance to take the P and a voyage of discovery as far as the fishing goes ...

If people can take pictures and post them up, then great .. I love looking at people's pictures, but equally understand that it's not always straight forward to provide them.

As for size limits, I think this cuts down the possibilities too much - I mean, most of the mini-species, gobies, blennies, shannies etc, etc are possible to catch with the right gear - tremendous fun to look at, make a note of and put back, but they're never going to qualify as sizeable, but they are species, nonetheless.

I know the rules are out soon - but thought I'd just nip in with my 2p worth.

Cheers,
JB.
Totally agree John-Boy after all its only a bit of fun and a chance to take the P out of the forum peeps...as if we would eh

Re: The teams

At the risk of getting this thread back on topic - LOL - I meant to post Paul and I are to be called "The Two Roddies" .. on account of our comedy like fishing partnership.

No doubt when the results are collated at the end of the year, it'll be Good Night from Me and Goodnight from Him ....

Cheers,
JB.

Re: The teams

DevonDave,

If you're still looking for a partner bung up a thread to SixFeetOfMud. He's my crew and was,I think, a little put out that I didn't choose him but we would only catch the same fish.

He'll catch you some fish next year. He had a great 15lb pike a week ago.

Cheers, Jules.
