Re: bristol channel

ilfracombe pier is good the only trouble is this time of year it can get over crowded, a good spot for night fishing is clovelly you can fish on the harbour or to the east of it, dont go west its very snaggy, early morning you get some superb mullet sport , the pubs pretty good too lol, one problem with clovelly is you can get plagued with spider crabs.

just a couple of things to add to Clovelley is you now need to pay to fish from the harbour and have done for qiute some time now and you have to walk 300 yds to the beach, dont sound too bad i know but this 300 yds is in britains top 10 steepest roads!

Ilfracombe pier does get stupidly buzy during the day at school holiday times, its not too bad when the kids are at school. the pier fishes best at night anyway and their is always room of a night.

if you need anymore info on ilfracombe pm me, i fish it almost every week so i can tell you how things are going etc

Re: bristol channel

18 months - 2 years now i think it is. its the hotel that charges as they own the whole harbour. some days you are lucky and manage to get away with it though. just plead ignorant to the fact, saves a lot of greif lol
