Autumn Fishing

Hi All

A group of us are thinking of coming to the Devon / Cornwall area in late Spetember or early October for a long weekend's shore fishing. Can anyone please recommend some spots and likely target species. We are not really fussy about where we go.

Thanks

Rick

Re: Autumn Fishing

Thanks to all three of you. Had some trouble getting on the forum this morning - Explorer kept saying it couldn't find the server.

Any particular recommendations fawlty? Used to fish Whitesands and Rame Head many moons ago with peeler and sandeels and had some great trips. Anyone know if it still fishes?

Re: Autumn Fishing

most areas along the south devon coast will produce bass conger wrasse plus the usual although the bass fishing up here has been relatively slow compared to last year (so im being told by many anglers i meet at various places) i do know a guy who had 47 the other day but nothing over half a pound and i dont think tiddler bashing should count lol

Re: Autumn Fishing

Welcome to the Forum Ricke....
You could have a good bit of fun in the Newquay area, plenty of good Bass and flaties in the Gannel estuary, and there is some cracking wrasse spots on the headland, and mullet too near the sewer out lets.....
