| Re: Help wanted for bass fishing around barnstaple Ha mestirious bass !! every anglers dream to catch big bass.. Yelland jetty is a simple favorite with many, i have personaly pulled a 4 1/2 bass from there but there not east to catch from here, the river flows so fast and is so wide its a job to tell where the fish wil come from, and bear in mind the big bass feed close inshore as little as 10 ft from where your fishing at times, lug worm and rag work well but fresh peeler crabs are a fav amoung bass.. Saunton, baggy, croyde, wollacombe will all contain bass but i would generaly fish for any thing thats in the water, our coast lines down here and riddled with all sorts of fish.. |

| Re: Help wanted for bass fishing around barnstaple try catching a few small pout first and useing them as live bait mate hook them just in the top lip and wait for the take always remember with bass if you get a knock leave it till you see a good take they some times hit the live bait first then come back round to take it my best bass on live pout was a 7lb er check out my pic on my profile any way hope this helps and good luck mate __________________ fish 2011:whiting,dab,rockling,bass,pout,smoth hound, pollock, blackbream, place, doggy, bull huss, congar, silver eel, scad, mackrel, poor cod, |
