| is everyone still up for a wrassing trip on saturday? the only problem is that i thinks that all this cold weather might have all the wrasse go elsewhere, so how about somewhere where we are able to catch other things such as flounder cos i reckon that they would have come back in during the cold snap. according simon torbayfishing's site, you can pick up some flounder at elberry cove, aswell as wrasse: "Elberry Cove, Broadsands, Paignton - By Simon Day This location is favored by many for bottom fish like flounder and also spinning for Bass." any other thoughts/ideas appreciated. also thought of hope's nose, i have been meaning to get down there for ages cos i have not fished it in the winter before, only in the summer. ![]() |

| Re: Wrasse fishing in torbay: spots to treasure!!! try long quarry in torquay,, the walk down is not for the faint hearted.... once down on the flat walk half way along towards the right , look along the edge of the rocks at low water you will see a large crevice in the rock face, this is covered at high water, had wrasse there to 5lb 8oz,, or carry on to the end on the right hand side a flat ledge cast back into the left hand side,,,,, BIG wrasse country.. the smaller ones up to 2lb give small rattles then pull the tip down,, the big ones yank the rods right over.. all on hardbacks ledgered in tight to the rock face........ hope this helps |
