Bluey

Hi guys,

anybody else have the feeling that bluey has gone out of fashion with cod. Froze my nuts off on Sunday for five hours on the Channel and not a bite. Take bluey usually as have had good catches with it and more pratical than lug.
Anybody else mad enough to go out on sunday morning!!

Tried bluey over the last 3 or 4 months for the rays,bass and other toothy critters and have to say i don't rate it any better than mackerel epsecially when its costing me half as much again .. did try some up on my only outing to Ladye Bay - i failed miserably with it , but also with prime devon peeler , sandeel, lug and all manner of baits

I have never caught anything at Ladye Bay. Tried all sort of baits. It is always full there so must be me.

I got the best results with bluey. But so far not a single cod. (Plus I need to go to the right place).

Did another early fish this sunday, what with mist and icey conditions not that enjoyable. Does not seem to be any fish in the Channel at the moment. I was next to Portishead marina - I thought I could get on to it but it's locked up.
Am I just fishing too high up the channel at the moment?

not had any luck on it, up at portishead, lots of fish on rag,
