Fishing in Portland / Weymouth

Hi Mate,
The fishing from Chesil beach is not great at the moment, very few cod are being caught although it is not stopping the Chesil die hards still fishing it at every oportunity. You are spoilt for choice really, anywere from Portland bay through to Hythe beach in the west depending on what you want to try, some of the marks like the Aderlade are a bit of a hike from the Portland road car park, but most all along the coast are easy to get to. Myself and Portland Jon fish of Abbotsbury beach Friday 21st from 6pm until midnight, unfortunatly mainly dogs caught Jon had five and a couple of small Pout and I had six.

thanks for all your replies they have been realy helpful. I will hopefully get some more fish now I have had some expert advice! I will post a thread if I catch anything interesting whilst I am there, i would love to come to the meet but I dont drive and the trains are such a pain :-(
