Duchess 2 trip

Besides the light drizzles of rain and biting winds the trip from Weymouth on Jeff Clarkes Duchess 2 was a great trip out. Nine off us went, six were newbies to the art of fishing.
Our 8hr trip was rewarded with over 100 fish
ranging from ling, pollock. pouting. some cod like fish which just wanted to come out the water, dog fish and the odd sand eel.

The water was too cold for Mackeral which we only caught two off.

we used squid and ragworm as bait

with in a hr off stopping over our wreck we were pulling fish up, had a quiet spell for hr half, we moved 45 minutes to another wreck in view of cheessil beach and had another good hr spell before trying some plastic fishes for cod before retiring for the day. We rarerly had any hire rod trouble and very few tangles, but the crew were 100% and most will be returning for a trip in july. for me and a few we will be back on June 5th,
