Just got back from west bexington, fished the same conditions as yourself (4:30-9:30), caught one small whiting on mackeral around 9pm. i tried using peeler crabs and frozen sandeels but the whole beach seemed quiet, fingers crossed things will pick up for the weekend. im gunna move up East and fish abbotsbury friday evaning. havent looked at the weather yet tho....

just got back from bexi- blanked 4.30pm ish till 9.30pm.
Hartley, myself + wives n kids, 2x mpv full of bedlam
fished approx 2ooyds right of carpark.
not a touch till about 9 and dusk, couldnt connect with whatever they were,
squid/mackerel/lug/rag/slipper/clams used, went down to size 3 hooks & still nada

i'll be getting the size 6's out next.

Oh well ,not just me then! That makes me feel a bit better... I won't be able to get out this coming weekend, but I'm looking forward to hearing how you all get on. Any idea when the mackerel might show again?
