Cool looking for the bass !!

hi every1, i wanna try fishing branscombe beach later. i gonna try a whole squid on a running ledger trace. i know a place to the right of the car park is supposed to be quite good. any advice or tips ??

Sounds good to me mate. If you could get hold of some mackerel or crab so much the better. Don't cast much more than 30 yards. Keep it close in and keep checking your bait every 15/20 mins.

i see the comment above says you should not cast more that 30 yards is that what you need to do on a steep sloping beachs? because me and my friend were wondering. that might be where we are going wrong.

if you want bass then yea u gotta keep your cast to literally under your feet, cause they will be in very close at ant state of the tide, i caught one on my plug the other day and i was literally casting about 6feet !!

try bacon, or bread/chips. i know it sounds ridiculous, but i caught a 3 pounder at 4:30 am down the hard on achip on a 1/0 sakuma. i always catch loads of bass on bacon and bread. good luck mate.

Sounds great I have herd of bacon for bass before in fact I herd that 2 children were crabbing with bacon in brixham and ended up hooking a bass would have been a nice surprise. Cheers for the tips

hi lukey87 i have no tips for branscombe beach, but i have a lot of tips for budleigh salterton, worked away a few weeks ago stayed in digs at exmouth went fishing every night until dark had a lot of success with bass on bait and spinners for any info get in touch
