Re: newbie

what he said ^^^^

I'm new to sea fishing, so any tips on the fal would be good.

i've tried a few places on the fal shoreline,

but so far have only managed to get seaweed.

i went out on a self drive boat from mylor harbour, i had a few pollock and mackerel using feathers around the st mawes castle area.

Lightbulb Re: newbie

hello, i tend to fish a few places and am starting to learn when and at what state of tide to fish them

if you take the footpath right from mylor harbour, you get to penarrow. only fished 2 hrs either side of the low and have had pollack, dogfish and rockling so far from here.

trefusis can produce at the right time, but still working on that. again, a low tide venue.

mullet from penryn river.

crab quay at pendennis again mid to low, had doggies, wrasse and a decent conger here at night.

also huss and conger from other spots at pendennis, but proper rough ground.

gyllingvase beach for bass.

stack point for doggies, pollack, mackerel maybe huss too.

still chasing ray but no idea where to start. have been pointed to trefusis though.

also the piers are worth a go inbetween ferry traffic.

regards

Re: Penarrow

What rig and bait did you use in Penarrow? I would love to catch some pollock there!

Re: newbie

Hi. The left hand side of Swanpool beach can be good spinning/plugging for bass on a rising tide when first light coincides with approx 3 hrs after low water. be carefull not to get caught up on the marker ropes.
Take it easy. beachy830
