My trip to Bossington.....

Well, I decided to go to Bossington and give it a try on Sunday.....

The wind was very strong, so setting up was difficult, and after three casts and three losses of tackle, I packed up and left :)

I headed to Watchet Harbour, caught one small doggy and went home somewhat dejected, wishing I had stuck with my original plan to fish Seatown beach in Dorset lol

Unlucky Ross.
twas a tad breezy on Sunday.
Well done on the doggy & avoiding the blank though.
Did you go during the day or at night?
Sunbather time coming up

Re: My trip to Bossington.....

Went to Bossington just for a "look" this morning as I'd never been there. Are there any "hot spots", it looks quite featurless from the shore. Obviously there is "Hurlstone" up to the right which would be worth a look for huss and wrasse but other than that I wouldnt know where to start.

Re: My trip to Bossington.....

I think Pingu & Baggie fished an ESSA match there last autumn. They could probably tell you where the winner came from - not that one event prooves a great deal. otherwise the Vealy usefull site for The BC may tell you where it's less snaggy.

Nomad, daytime fishing nowadays is going to be plagued by swimmers & sunbathers. Would stick to evening sesions from now on mate.
Good luck next trip

Re: My trip to Bossington.....

I think Dave's fished it a couple of times, but I've only fished it the once, where the whole club blanked apart from one 4lb Bass. No idea where it came from as I'd packed up and left long before!!!!

There might be a couple of reports around here somewhere...

Re: My trip to Bossington.....

Seatown tends to fish better at the far left of the beach as you look at it from the car park, although there are a few snags up that end. If you stay in the centre you get swimmers under your line (stupid idiots lol).
