New fisherman in Dorset

Hi all,

I have just taken up fishing and my first time was not too successful, however i did learn quite a lot.

If there are any Dorset fishermen/women who would not mind an inquisitive person to fish with, day or night, then please let me know.

Good point well presented, at the moment sea fishing but who knows if I get to like it.

At the moment I enjoy sitting on the sea front in the dark hours, so I though that if I go fishing I can do something with my time while there.

Re: New fisherman in Dorset

We have a few Anglers on here who fish the Solent area and Chesil beach.

Look out for people putting threads up, where they going to fish next...I'm sure they are more than welcome to let you join them.

We also have fishing forum meets , where we gather together for a good social fish-in...again everyone is welcome to join.

Re: New fisherman in Dorset

We sort of do these trips on an Ad hoc basis, so if you keep your eyes on the going fishing section, when we are planning a trip it will be posted.

Mean time, you say Dorset, but which bit? I work in Poole and we sometimes fish down there, Chesil is popular and someone is often there.

Re: New fisherman in Dorset

Welcome to the forum.

A few of us beach fish at Hurst, Key Haven, Milford and Mudeford, local spots.

We also boat fish from Lymington, Mudeford and Poole harbours.

Weather permitting we should be at one of the beaches this weekend.

I am near Blandford but will go almost anywhere.

I was in West Bay at the weekend.
