Clevedon Pier - 17/02

A group of us managed to get upto Clevedon Pier after it being recommended by a few other anglers and seing it in the TSF Magazine.

We got there just as the Pier was opening to find there were only 1 other Angler fishing. He had been there since early Morning and caught a small codling.

I set up with the thought of some bigger fish in mind, so i used 4/0 pennels with Crab and worm on one rod and Lug on the other. My mates were using small hooks with one or two worms on.

To cut things short, i didnt have a bite all day on the big baits but they were catching Codling every now and again...i wouldnt really call them codling as giving them a weight of 4oz might be generous.

All in all it was nice to get the house in anticipation for something other than dogfish. I would say i enjoyed it but i didnt, i dont like heights and that was higher than i imagined!!!

Glade you enjoyed your day mate and shame about the fish

That pier is not the best place if you are unsure of heights

Re: Clevedon Pier - 17/02

Unlucky Luke, it's quite a way down at low tide on that peir eh?

Maybe you'd have been a touch happier at Ladye Bay mate. I'm certainly gonna give it a go one day as I don't thin kthe peir is for me either.....

Nice report mate.

Shame the fish did'nt show Luke, but still a nice place to spend a few hours, even if you don't like heights.
