Re: Cleveden Pier

Luke, am thinking of fishing Clevedon Pier and Ladye Bay myself on Monday 19th. I tend to get my bait (lug, lug and lug) from Oliver's and also get the local info from them too.

Their details are:-
Oliver's Angling: 10, Alexandra Rd, Clevedon, Avon BS21 7QE Tel: 01275 871590

PS. Eddie who posts here also knows the area and has told me pretty much all I know about this mark, might be an idea to give him a PM

Re: Cleveden Pier

Luke,

If you are fishing the peir and have spare time then take the little extra trip about half a mile down the coast and fish Ladye Bay - offers more areas to fish and you can fish it at all states of the tide - reckon its better than the peir to be honest.

If you havent got much time then stick with the pier - if however you want some advice on Ladye Bay let me know - its literally within spitting distance.

have to agree with tommy, the pier is open to non-members from 10am-4pm(not 100% sure on this)
ladye bay can be fished down to low(will have to climb down rocks)and up to high/over.
big tides will produce grass type weed that clogs your line, and when the tide starts out(with a lot more force than it came in!!)you'll notice larger lumps of weed with the occasional tree!
last time i fished there it was slow, although it may have improved by now,i did hear seven beach was producing again upto 3.5lb,closest bait is reel fun at portishead for seven beach.

pic is from a sesh in late jan,all i've had since then are small codling upto a 1lb,this was part of a 6 fish catch, biggest 3lb 5oz 2 smallest just over 2lb went back,as will anymore until i've eaten these!
the size of fish last time i fished, about 1.5 weeks ago.....

still better than nowt
