| Re: Thursday 8th feb Well a brilliant night was had but bugger all fish ! We trecked across the muddy snowy fields and set up on the corner of the point by the rivers mouth - fished it up for 2.5 hours to no avail with only a couple of little knocks. Changed tactics and walked half way back across the rocks and pebbles to try for the odd flounder - again very little interest with no fish. Almost the last cast of the night Shads lands a small codling which shouldnt have been there but a fish is a fish and it kept our run of blanks for the past 2 years to less than 5 ! What was great though was the starry night, peace and quiet except the sound of the flooding tide and two single lights on the rod tips - good banter and just a bloody lovely night ! Dont reckon you can beat a good night out fishing for relaxing and enjoying yourself  __________________ So near yet so far - Wembley 2008 - Zideered Right Up ! |
