Blue Anchor 4 February 2007

Haven't been able to get out for a few weeks so made an early start (5am) this morning. Spent first 10 minutes scraping Frost off the car!

Took Mrs L's camera with me to snap the huge Cod that I was sure would result from so much hardship. It wasn't to be sadly.

Dawn was a splendid sight however and almost worth the bitter cold.

As you can see I wasn't the only one braving the elements. I've mentioned the steps half way along the front in one or two posts. Here they are. It's where I caught the Conger several months ago and they're dead handy if you do hook something sizeable.

I managed 2 Pout and a Whiting. Sorry Steve no new species!

This is the first time I've tried to post any pictures so here goes. If it works it'll hopefully save Steve some grief.

Well done Rich, braving the elements and getting a catch makes it all worthwhile, hope the monster cod show next time.
