slapton 25/11/6

well as the predicted gales didnt arrive
got a suprise phone call and so at 6.30 headed off to slapton for the evening with 3 memebers of local club
got to slapton at 8 and set up quickly
this was a good shout as we were sheltered pretty much from the gust
so shelter up and cast out, first cast nice size whiting (but skinnier than kate moss ) game on i thought

next 2 fish were 2 doggies on consecutive casts just on high water 9.15ish

then 2 3/4 hours of nothing till gave up at 12

other 3 caught a couple of doggies and pin whiting and Si with his usual approach of lucky bugger pulled in a schoolie of about 1 1/2 lb which would have been returned but was seriously deep hooked

a nice evening and weather not too bad, although was odd looking out of shelter to perfectly clear skies and rain hammering into back of shelter

hoping for more luck with rich tionight

dave

Well Pingu! There are lucky buggers and very lucky buggers Dave! Obviously, my 1.5lb schoolie was luck and your 5lb 'Ladram lunker' was 'superior skill and techneque'. Hang on! that's my line! Ha Ha! Nice little report there mate. Any news is good news for ExmouthSAA. Keep those reports coming mate. Si

Well good grief... To what do we owe the pleasure mate?

And more to the point, where were you on Sunday when the braver (mader?) ESAA souls were on the beach at Ladram???

In fact, where were you last night when we returned to the scene of the crime, only to find that Dave has fished it dry???

Re: slapton 25/11/6

Chaps - reading your report makes me want to leave Bristol and get my arse down on the coast to live! Been threatening to do it for 5 years now and me and mrs have decided to hold on this for another couple but I wish I lived down in Exmouth - spend all summer there and its a lovely place !

keep up the good work eh !

Was there the night before to catch anything Dave had left us: not much! Anyway gotta give you 'independent ESAA' guys the pleasure of my presence only once in a while. Even if it is only on line. Wasn't invited out with the 'elite' boys either Rich! Well I say elite, 'mentalists' would be a better word actually! Can't be bothered to fish in that weather and, well, erm, I have had my big Bass this year Rich! Oh, did I tell you I had a nice Bass this year? Oh yes I did: a million times already, ha ha!!!!! See you on the next one mate. U fishing the Xmas Fayre on Sunday? Oh, yea message for Tommy A in Bristol. Come on down Tom! Exmouth SAA does already have members as far a field as Bristol so come and join in the fun mate! Ex mouth Sea Angling Association Keep up the good work chaps. See you on the forum again next visit (next year knowing me!) webbie Si ESAA
