Flounder are in!

Went for a flounder session today at a place called St John in the river tamar

Got there at 8 o clock after getting my ragworm from local tackle shop, tide was just after 1 so got all off the flood tide

Walked around to a few spots but ended up here

The channel was deep enough to start fishing straight away so set up and was fishin with 2 rods within about 10 mins

Took about an hour for the tide to start flooding and within about 10 mins of this i had my 1st bite. After going for a quick walk to get sum water in the bucket i came back and reeled in my 1st flounder of the year of 12oz. As i was unhooking that 1 my other rod went on a run so reeled that 1 in and found another flounder of 1lb 8oz so had a double shot

After weighing and pics i returned them to grow bigger for next time and at this point the wind picked up making it very hard to see bites but still managed 1 more flounder which weighed i at 1lb

After that 1 i missed a few knocks by being impatient and not giving them enough time and about half hour before half tide the flounder dissapeared and the bass appeared!

Had bass after bass til i ran out of bait, ended up with 7. No problem seeing the bites off these!

So a great day for me with 3 flounder and 7 bass, will be back there tomorrow
