My haloween

After going into the tackle shop i heard the 1st flounder had come out (huge for early season at 2lb 13) so i had to go after a flatty

Only good tide i could go on was at night so it had to be a night trip

Got there at 8 and was fishing by 8.15 with two rods out both on the bottom with ragworm

Both rods got silver eels first cast so 1st thoughts were that we were gonna be plagued by them all night



This was the bigger one and the other was tiny

After that it went quiet for a little while then i got a screamin run which i thought had to be a bass and was right



Then after the 1st bass they kept comin every cast not very big but good fun on a carp rod

Biggest was about a pound

No flounder but didnt realy expect one, will have to wait 2 weeks for the next good tide for one of them and with this cold weather they should be here by then

nice to see the carp rod in action! dont yous mine as often as id like as
get problems with ether weed or tide run so have to go heavy!
great fun tho when conditions ar right!
p,s im a believer that bass of any size ar a good fish

Nice bass Steve, sounds like you had a good session, well done!! I haven't managed to get a bass yet, maybe I should try my carp rod too instead of a beachcaster

there was a small one caught in tonights comp at sidmouth so hopefully be picking up soon
