Any News On Fridays Match?

Did anybody turn up for the match at Slapton on Friday?
Or was it too wet and wild?

Re: Any News On Fridays Match?

I fished Slapton a fair few years ago when it was that rough and within 7 minutes my rig was washed up to the right of me.
I am also a little bit more than boracic (skint).
Hope that all went ok at the match anyway, you brave, silly persons.:-)

Re: Any News On Fridays Match?

GOOD DAY TO ALL THOSE WHO DECIDED IT WOULD BE TOO ROUGH.

YOU WERE VERY WRONG.

IT WAS FLAT CALM 'CAUSE THE WIND DROPPED AWAY TO A LIGHT BREEZE.

MIKE FARMER ( MINEHEAD ) WON HIS SECOND MATCH IN A ROW WITH 6 DOGGIES FOR 9LB, SECOND WAS SIMON JACKSON AND WE HAD A THREE WAY TIE FOR 3RD, EACH GUY HAVING 3 DOGGIES FOR 4LB 8OZ.

TWENTY ONE ANGLERS NOW FISH THE LEAGUE, INCLUDING ROB MARSHALL AND JULIAN SHAMBROOK, SO IT'S NICE TO BE ATTRACTING SOME NAMES AS WELL AS US MERE MORTALS!!

IT WOULD BE PRETTY POINTLESS JOINING THE LEAGUE AT THIS STAGE, BUT AS ALL MATCHES ARE OPENS IT'D BE NICE TO SEE A FEW OF YOU THERE. YOU'RE ALL MORE THAN WELCOME TO COME DOWN AND RELEIVE US OF OUR HARD EARNED MONEY!!

CHEERS.

LEE

Re: Any News On Fridays Match?

Thanks for the report Sammy. Tis good to know that we can't all be right all of the time (though my misses would say otherwise).
Well done to those that caught on the night. We may even get to the March meet but can't promise anything.(money).
Nice bit of name dropping Sammy. Let's hope that Julian brings his old mate Henry along.
Good read and well done all.

Re: Any News On Fridays Match?

The only way we'd see Henry there is if I put a big rock on the beach for him to sit on, and not laugh when he uses 6/0 Vikings and a Slosh 30.

Oh, and we'd have to let him walk 5 miles up the beach and back before he set up, just to make him feel at home!!
