The slapton Winter League starts this coming Friday. Sign in at the Tor Cross car park from 6pm, fishing starts at 7.30pm.

Isn't there a SAMF v COMBINED SERVICES two day event on Slapton starting this Friday? I think they're fishing 4.30 to 8.30 on the Friday and not too sure what the times are for the Saturday. Hope it doesn't clash with your match!

No, don't worry. I had a chat with Julian and the England, Wales, etc teams are moving up a bit to give us room!!!

Slapton is a big beach so we'll all fit in.

Hi all, just a short note.
Shrek & I were going to do the comp but he was rushed into hospital with appendicitus on Tuesday so we shall only be able to do the March meeting.
Tis a bit of a swine cos we were both looking forward to doing the whole nine yards but there will be another time, eh lads?. 8 weeks convalescent is too long without dangling a line but better that than making things worse !!.
I am sure that everybody wishes him a speedy recovery.

thanks choosy am home now hope all went well for you i am on the mend abit rough today but the thought of no fishing for 8 weeks is the worst but will have to make the most of it when can go again ,looking forward to reports from comp

Shrek, what a daft time to get ill!!!

Twenty one lads turned up to fish, with the promise of a few more next month. It seems I can look forward to meeting you in March (3rd ).

The fishing wasn't great with 21 anglers catching 28 doggies and 6 whiting.
Mike Farmer won with 6-6, Geoff Gay was second with 6-0 and I was third with 4-15.

The payouts were: 1st: £100, 2nd: £70, 3rd: £40, and £20 being split between Geoff and Nick Panther for the best specimen, both having a Whiting of 13oz.

Get yourself back on your feet soon and we'll see you at Slapton in March.


PS........ the matches are all opens, so even if you've missed the chance to enter the league you can still come down and take our money

clad you had a good turn out ,,Did miss it but will be there on the 3 rd march .Might come down and sit with choosy on the feb 17th , just to get out can,t drive for 3 to 4 weeks so stuck in will need to get out will even put money in the pot just to support it ,tiz a good thing and hope it contious after this league all my best to you all tight lines

i assume the 6-6 was lbs and oz's?.. or kg ?

i was in manchester for the week but im back now and itching to get on a beach/rock/something with water surrounding it!

i will do my best to book the next one off .. when will it be?
