Smile Portishead this morning

Fished 3 hrs on the steamer pier this morning
no bites 2 rods lug & squid.

8 or so people fishing 1 sizable codling.

New rod fishes a dream, (Zip Primo) worth going just to try it out.
Cheers Mr Creedy.

Hi,
It does not cost anything to fish the jetty /pier just watch the tides as it can get covered on big springs.

Reel Fun is based in the Marina, they have a good supply of bait....01275848652 (Steve)

Mr Creedy , the rod is a lot diff. than the 2500 i normally use, was a bit worried to really wack it, as i nearly cast all my line out on the Mag. (Scary)

I had the wind behind me though, you dont need distance in the B. Channel, the tide range can be up to 14m from low to high...!!!!!!!!!!

Bit more than Thanet....

Some bloke i was talking to the other day said he saw a " Transit" go past his line.... yes a "transit van" i think he must be the "Seven Bore" they tell of.
I think i will set a thread off, " strangest thing you saw/caught in the sea"

What u think?

Talking Re: Portishead this morning

Saw an Army 4 tonne truck get washed down the fleet at weymouth bridging camp once by the tide. It rolled quite some distance. The driver was lucky to get out. Never seen so many Squaddies trying not to laugh.
