The Priory and Ladye Bay

Fished Woodspring Priory with Tommy A this morning down from High water to low water. All started well with Tommy getting lots of bites but to my amusment he couldn't make contact with any of them.
Just as we were winding in go to the pub and have our liquid lunch I pulled in a monster of a Cod, it was all of 6 Inches long!! And Tommy not to be out done brought in a crab
Off to ladye bay after refreshments, to face much of the same as in the morning apart from Tommy landed 3 more small codling to my 1. A 3-2 victory to Tommy.
A cod days fishing.
Lets hope the larger cod start showing themselves a bit more now.

Re: The Priory and Ladye Bay

Shads - like you said mate - a great day out and even though they were small codling they were at least COD !!

Very relaxing sitting on the rocks at Ladye Bay watching the sun go down and the lights from the welsh side shine through - about 10 other anglers there all of which were in good spirits and the usual banter as we departed.

As a sport for relaxing and getting out it simply cannot be beaten !
