Re: Clevedon Pier & Layde Bay

Hi Greenheart,

I overheard the guy in Olivers tackle mention that a lot of coddling have been coming off of layde bay, Im not too sure if he was being honest or just trying to sell more bait though.. All fish he mentioned were caught on lug and squid but there is a very bad shortage of lug in that tackle shop at the moment, I managed to get there early today ( saturday ) and get some yellow tail lug looked really good, I just hope it catches me some fish in my match on sunday..

Fished blackrock in clevedon twice last week, the first day was ok but lots of small coddling between 6 and 10 inches but lots and lots of small rockling about, I also had a small 2lb coddling along clevedon seafront, all the fish we caught were on 2 lug tipped with a small strip of squid or a tentacle..

Tight lines,

Mike
