torbay 4/1/06

well what can i say..

ive been on at that tight farmer friend of mine to get out fishing and take me with him and finally today he agreed!!

i got all excited even cleaned my seatbox and off we went

we had peeler lug rag squid sandeel mackeral and prawn! as bait.

we got to our location the wind was blowing the sea was... err rough! but there was others fishing so we jumped out of the van and off we went..

whilst kev was busy getting dressed i wondered off and spoke to a guy fishing a little way up from us asked him what he had caught and he grunted and mumbled and then said just 1 mate..

so i stood chatting for a while then plucked up enough courage to ask what the 1 was and he pulled it out of the bag!

it was a nice codling around 5lbs and with that gave me enough hope to last me until next month! after seeing this fish i wanted to catch one myself ..

so to cut this story short i set up fished and fished and fished and nothing not a darn bite!

i wasnt the only one kev couldnt get a bite either then after a hour or so of being there the waves were getting quite scarey to the point one wave crashed up the rock between me and kev and we couldnt see each other for this mighty white stack of water 20-30ft in the air! and with that we packed up and came home.

but never fear im going back next week i will get that 1.5 points swimming around if it kills me!
