 Slapton Sands Advice Hi, new on the site, but a regular beach angler in North wales. i have a match coming up on Slapton Sands in Mid January 2006. There will be a day and night match. i would appreciate any advice on tactics, baits, rigs, species etc. thanks in anticipation - trussym     |

| Re: Slapton Sands Advice Hi and welcome Trussy. I suppose the best baits for Slapton are Rag, Lug and Squid. Crabs do catch there but it's the wrong time of year. The Bass were still around 3 weeks ago. But Slapton can throw up some surprises now and again. Bass, Mackerel, Gurnard, Black Bream, Scad, Flatties and the obligatory DogFish have all been caught by us at Slapton.
