Orestone - Hopes Nose

Chaps,

After some info. from those of you who live down in this area. Im out in the boat tomorrow for the day and hoping for some smoothies and bream over by the Orestone area - there are a couple of well known marks round here but Ive lost the info. given to me on location.

If any of you out there know the marks Im on about please could you PM me so we can try and find the correct marks.

Thanks for any help.

Tommy

Re: Orestone - Hopes Nose

Well this report wont be ,ong cause of the lack of fish !!

Went out in lovely sunny weather and had a cracking day really. Tried feathering for a few makeral to start with - no result ! Drifted over a wreck 8 times and caught nothing but the wreck !!

Shot over to the Orestone and fished what we think was Queens Rock under the water - no go again and incidentally no other boats appeared to be catching.

Shot back to the wreck to finish with three drifts and ended up with four makeral and garfish that Shads had fun with.

All in all a dissappointing day for baot fishing but the sea became pretty heavy and we spent a good half hour going to The Orestone with spray over the bow so that was well fun. Gave the boat a very good run and test in the conditions which it passed impeccably.

Will have a go for the bream and smoothies again in the next two weeks.

Fishing - never two days the same and thats what makes it so great ......
