Re: Sand point Weston super mare

Plenty of rays around in the Bristol channel, sand point should fish on low water +- 2 hours on spring tides rising .Baits vary, whole squid, rag and squid ,and peeler and squid coctails should be in with the best chance.Rigs sliding ledger,4/0 hooks on a pennel.Good luck....

Cool Re: Sand point Weston super mare

Update on Sand Point: Went there yesterday & fished 2 hours either side of low tide as suggested. To describe Sand point as tackle hungry is an understatement, tackle ravenous more like!!! I fished a pulley rig & lost my terminal rig every cast. The plus point was that I walked the shoreline at low water & found more leads & rigs than I lost. At the end of the day, all I had to show for my efforts besides a lot of other peoples tackle was a couple of strap Conger & some very muddy gear.
I'm still recovering from the climb down the cliff & hike back. & I've got the cuts & grazes to prove it!!!

"B===ks to Blair" keep on hunting fishing & shooting.
