| Admiralty (SandPoint W-s-M) Had more reports that the smooth hounds were back around sand point this week now that the wind had changed from those annoying easterlies, so me and Tommy decided to get some peelers and head off over the point. There was a nice south westerly blowing giving a bit of chop to the water and it started to rain as soon as we stepped out of the car as it does most times we go out! First cast with rag and squid just to get the rods out while we prepared the crab and Tommy gets a nice Conger around the 7lb mark. We thought that would be the start of a great nights fishing. 3 hours and aload of crabs later the conger was still all we had. I though I would give the rag worm another go for one last chuck. The bait had been in the water 5minutes and I got a nice slack line bite! Brought in the slack and contacted the fish. A nice 4lb Bass. The first I have had from the Admiralty. By this time it had got dark and neither of us had any lights so we packed up. A great end to a dissapointing nights fishing. Is this Crab being the best bait around a Myth???? __________________ Shads     |

 Re: Admiralty (SandPoint W-s-M) Nice report Shads, Shame about the other 3 hours but what a nice Bass from the shore. Not a bad conger either! Hopefully will be better for the Bass next Tuesday   As far as Peeler is concerned it is a brilliant bait, but it does not always guarantee a fish. __________________ Eventually all things merge into one, and a River runs through it. | Re: Admiralty (SandPoint W-s-M) Shaders - a flypin brilliant suprise at the end mate and after you saying youve only ever seen one bass down there in many years !! Im with you on the peeler - Ive never caught anything with it and really dont believe all the hype but will keep trying eh mate ! Look forward to getting out next week and trying for the bass down Swansea way - still smiling mate................. Oh and nice one for releasing the beauty - made me feel pretty good that shes out there ready to fight another day.  __________________ So near yet so far - Wembley 2008 - Zideered Right Up ! |
