Thumbs down sickening night at Minehead

well with a big southerly last night we decided to head north to the gasworks beach minehead

journey as ever took forever, even worse with the doris in front so it was 9pm before we got there, met shane and his dada and set up with 2 1/2 hours to high

baits were 1 rod squid and lug 3/0
other 3/0 double sandeel

rich was quiet over to the right , shanes dad then pulled in a baby cod, here we go i thought

i had a good ratchet run and solid fish on in the current but stupidly i gave a bit of slack, snagged and lost it

then we found out why rich was quiet as he was seriously sick

so despite fishing on till 12 with rich chilling in the car all i had was a micro dog( same as rich and shane)

long slow drive back home at 2

the cod was on rag and crab

rich still not good today either

so despite having lug left over tonight i am finding beer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Poor Rich. Nothing worse than an illness to scupper proceedings. As you know Dave after our session at Crackington Haven several years ago was cut short after my joint pain. GWS Rich.

I know how you feel, I ended up at Oddicombe after having a look see up Sidmouth way.
Fook that for a game of soliders.
