| Portishead 25th October 2011 Hi All Went down to Portishead This afternoon. High of 13.20m at 18:48hrs. Used lug, sand eel, mackeral, and squid. No takers apart from the crabs again. The heavens opened up with thunder and lightening overhead. Two fisher types, who were not dressed for the inclement weather left after 20 mins, but not before landing a codling of about 1lb and a small whitting. Both released back to be kissed another day. Left at high tide to come home and warn up and dry off the gear. Probably down again tomorrow with Sully if he is up for it.
