 catch report - portishead 20/10/11 Me and nigel went down the old peir in portishead last night from 8 till 2:30, started off with a few knocks on my rods but nothing would take the hook, as per usual i was getting a lil rift as id had a fish drougt on for a good few weeks. told nigel id be happy with anything even a poxy eel, 10 mins later my rod went flying off my tripod and wanted to go swimming. If it wasnt for the wall on trhe peir it would of been on its way down the channel by now, reeling in my line i caught this.....   bout 1-1lb and a 1/2 conger i think.. After that nigels rod started knocking and he pulled out a 1/2 lb whiting gonna put the pics up later wen nigel sends my them lol About an hour b4 we left the rod a payed a £5 for was knocking, and wot a result a 10 lb thornie, (pics to cum later) took me 20 mins to bring in and gave me the best fight ive had so far from fishing, and i beat my record as my other one was 9 and 3/4lb. and for once in my sea fishing carear i didnt loose and tackle.....Yay for me lol   :@sully2010@: __________________ Fishing aint just a hobby.......
