| Layde bay Hi there fished layde bay this morn from 0715hrs up untill 1130ish then had to head home, A rmed with fresh lug frosen blacks and unwashed quid. Sea was nice and calm the ledges were reasnably busy with more ariving as the tide rose. Had 2 bites but didnt conect with anything, nearly lost my cheap rod and tripod just 30 min before high tide when i turned aroung to bait my 2nd rod and i heard my tripod hit the ground .Turned around to see my rod hanging on for dear life by the reel and when i grabbed it realised my tripod was 3/4 the way in the channel lukiny enuf the tide wasnt high or wud have gave it up to the channel. Anyway like i saidn i blanked but had a nice day relaxing it the wonderfull weather, i did see the fishermen to my left catch 2 small ones and the man in red top 2 my right catch a nice size codling and returned it and then a dogfish later on . tight lines everyone.
