| Aloha Severn Beach Too nice a day not be watching a rod tip so thought I'd give Severn Beach a blast before work after hearing some promising reports recently. Big 14.5m tide so nice easy fishing from the sea wall. HT was 9.15am so fished 1.5 hrs on the flood and about an hour on the slack into ebb using frozen black lug and squid. Blankey blank disapointingly. Must have been up to a dozen guys fishing by the time I left but could only see one catch (by the same unfortunate guy who snapped the top section of his rod off trying to break free from a snag - usually the kind of antics I get up too). Plenty mackerel,gars and small pollack on the float at your mark down here, probably due to the big tides.
