Wind drop's at last!

Sun was out and the wind had dropped so i quickly chucked some gear in my rucksack after work and headed out for an afternoon sesh which only finished as dark was falling.
Weather was so good i just stayed out as long as poss. Decided to fish two bottom rods and not bother with the float which made for a very chilled out days fishing.

Couple of chucks and i managed this wee fellow who has got to be the blackest conger i ever caught, not all that big but he took a a bait on my lighter rod close in meant for rockling so gave a decent scrap.



Tide was pushing but not much going on until my mate arrived and i had a nice bite on the rod fished further out then landed this small huss at just over 4lb.



My mate stuck to the float fishing and was kindly catching some fresh mackie and gars which were more than welcome as my bait was looking a bit worse for wear. I had a couple more takes on the mackie but never managed to hook anything else. A few more gars and some pollack to my mate and it was time to head home for a beer.
What a pleasure to be out in the sun catching a fish or two after last weeks crap weather.
Took this close up of the huss, i just love catching them no matter what size they are.



Hopefully the report and pics come out ok as my laptop is having issues tonight lol!

Been itching to get out Mike and i,m so glad i did. Punchline to this is my new £22 Imax jacket arrived today just as i was packing my rucksack and i,m now sunburnt lol! Oh well i,m sure it wont be long til i need it.

Some good fishing there. I only get the L.S.D where If fish, masses of them! It would be good sport if there was a few bull huss chucked in as well, I hear they put up a fight instead of curling up and letting you reel them in.

I,v had more huss than LSD this year funnily enough, seems to be a distinct lack of woofers this year Jason.
Not gonna complain about that though as the huss do scrap much better, very strong fish mate.
Right time to go work sooner i finish the sooner i,m fishing
