| Minehead last night Went to Minehead last night hoping to fish the sandy beach but when we arrived there was a surf running and rather a lot of surfers present so we headed down past the harbour. The wind was sending waves crashing up towards us making fishing very unpleasant and that combined with our baits being stripped by crabs made us pack up and go back upto our intended spot. Fortunately the surfers had moved a fair way along the beach by now and so we set up a rod each to fish the surf for bass and another rod cast beyond the breakers for anything that might be out there feeding. We werent very successful but it was a great night to be out, I finished up with a 5 bearded rockling and Gary blanked.
