| Going Fishing/catch report old pier portishead hi guys me and Nigel 2011 are off down portraitist for a nine hour sesh off the old pier. Ive still got a flounder and a sole in the freezer I'm gonna try and see wot i can catch on plus we're gonna use rag and squid most likely with pulley rigs. we're gonna get there around 10:30 ish tonight and be back around 7 in the morning, With any luck we might get a few fishies to put up on the forum, and Nigel might even be able to get ahead of my score and leave me behind.. will let u no how we got on in the morning..   __________________ Fishing aint just a hobby....... Its a way of life Caught so far.....bass, cod, eels, conger eel, whiting, flounder, sole, Thornback Ray, spotty dog, a cold and crabs (not the itchy kind lol)     |

| Re: Going Fishing/catch report old pier portishead well it was an invent full day at portishead last night. as per usual we was lucky to get even a bite, i once again caught the most out there with 2 sea things which we don't no wot they was called, some line with once again a breakaway weight , a nice conger at over 4 1/2 foot long and weighing around 25 to 30 lb, and the best of the night a little crab that just wouldn't let go of the line. the bait we used was rag, squid and flounder (which Nigel caught months ago). top ratings go to veal's for the rag worm. 10/10. definitely would recommend them for the worms.. __________________ Fishing aint just a hobby....... | Re: Going Fishing/catch report old pier portishead Hi Fellow fisher types I stuck to form. One bite and no fish. The two sea things that Sully caught/stabbed with the breakaway are sea anenomies. I think Sully was a bit modest in the conger department. It's length was more like 5.5 to 6 foot. As for catching crabs, nothing new there..... There was a slight breeze, temp was 19-20 degrees and the channel was like a mill pond. A very lovely night and very peacefull. The score is 6-10 to Sully.
